Aedyn Kourakos' "Trash Tentacles"
“My design, cast upon a 6 by 22-foot recycling bin on all four sides, juxtaposes the state of Maine’s magnificent marine wildlife against a jarring array of manmade substances polluting our waters. Much like an octopus’s tentacles, I sought to provoke viewers to think about how a seemingly small action like recycling can have far-reaching limbs in terms of addressing the harmful, messy manmade problems we must collectively solve.”
